A Powerful Voice for Ranchers: Public Lands Council

In 1968, ranchers from across the West signed off on a new concept of advocacy for public lands ranching. For the last 50 years, the idea that became the Public Lands Council (PLC) has represented the cattle and sheep producers who hold public lands grazing permits. The PLC advocates for these western ranchers who preserve our nation’s natural resources while providing vital food and fiber to the nation and the world.

Ethan Lane, Executive Director of the PLC sat down with Ag. Broadcaster Lane Nordlund and shared how the PLC has created a permanent seat at multiple tables for the nations public lands ranchers and advocating for the multiple use of the nations public lands.
